This strategic expansion underscores PRocon’s unwavering commitment to fostering growth, innovation, and collaboration as the organization gears up for its highly anticipated 4th annual conference this year. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, further solidifying PRocon’s role as a vital community hub for industry leaders and emerging professionals alike.

Handpicked for their exemplary contributions, unwavering dedication to excellence, and passion for advancing the communications and marketing industries, these distinguished leaders will guide PRocon’s strategic initiatives and play an instrumental role in shaping the future of its programming and community engagement efforts.

The newly appointed board members bring a diverse array of expertise and perspectives, reinforcing PRocon’s dedication to innovation, professional development, and industry leadership. The 2025 PRocon board is a powerhouse collective of professionals spanning public relations, marketing, media, finance, community engagement, events, branding, and more.

Meet the 2025 PRocon Board

Keisha Brewer – Founder and Chair

Keisha Brewer is a strategic communications expert and the CEO of The PR Alliance LLC, a full-service public relations agency. Her career includes roles as a news writer and reporter for the Daily Times Delmarva Media Group, an advertising specialist for Sinclair Broadcast Group—supporting FOX News and MYTV—and a communications specialist and event planner for Fortune 500 companies. Keisha has also served as a social media strategist for government agencies. For PRocon, Keisha serves as the primary leader for the conference and community, building off of the vision that first came to light in 2022 at PRocon’s inaugural conference.

Fatou Drammeh – Vice Chair

Fatou Drammeh is a PR & strategic communications professional with a passion for storytelling, cultivating community, and amplifying culture through digital channels and in-person experiences. Skilled in media relations, brand strategy, digital communications and more, Fatou has lent her talents to businesses across industries, including government agencies, media companies, consumer brands, and global financial institutions. For PRocon, Fatou serves as a strategic partner to the founder & chair, helping to develop and carry out the vision for the community and conference.

A. Thomas Lampkin – Director, Flagship Conference

A. Thomas Lampkin is an American event producer and talent manager from Prince George's County, Maryland. He got his start in events as an undergraduate student in Baltimore, and has since lent his talents to multiple concerts, sporting experiences, and festivals of all kinds throughout his career. Before joining the PRocon board, Thomas worked for brands and companies like Dreamville Festival, MimosaCity Festival, Superfly, and SoFi Stadium. With over a decade of experience in entertainment and events, his passion for large-scale productions and intimate engagements alike has positioned him as a leader in the event space.

Thomas is a proud alumnus of Morgan State University. He currently resides in Los Angeles, Califonia.

Hakeem Hooker – Director, Finance & Operations

Hakeem Hooker is a financial service specialist at Overflow Capital, where he helps millennial parents and business owners work toward financial independence. In 2024, he assisted over 60 families in achieving their financial goals. For PRocon, Hakeem conducts financial oversight for the conference and community while ensuring smooth operations of all internal and external systems.

Brooklyn Simone – Director, Community Engagement

Brooklyn Simone is a community architect, host, and digital content producer with over a decade of experience at the interaction of hospitality, events, and marketing. She builds impactful communities and amplifies brands through strategy, storytelling, and connection. For PRocon, Brooke leads all events outside of the flagship conference while engaging directly with the PRocon community online and IRL.

Mariam Sarr – Manager, Programming

Mariam Sarr is a communications and customer insights professional who helps organizations better understand their audiences and shape messaging that resonates. As a Director of Customer Insights, she works across teams to bring clarity to complex data, making space for more human-centered storytelling. With a background in CX and analytics, Mariam is especially passionate about building bridges between what people say, feel, and need, and how brands respond. She is a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) and a believer in the power of thoughtful, inclusive communication. In her role as programming manager, Mariam is responsible for curating a dynamic and engaging experience for attendees of all PRocon events.

Tiana Williams Elliott – Manager, Sponsorships

Tiana Williams Elliott brings extensive experience in sponsorship management and strategic partnerships from her experience in fundraising at Howard University. Her expertise lies in developing and nurturing relationships that drive organizational growth and community impact. As sponsorships manager, Tiana connects PRocon with like-minded and purpose-aligned brands to create exciting experiences and offerings for PRocon community members.

Kourtney Janeau – Manager, Public Relations

Kourtney Janeau, M.M.C. is a dynamic communications professional known for her expertise in media relations, brand strategy, and impactful storytelling. With experience spanning consumer brands, lifestyle, entertainment, and social impact, she has led successful campaigns at The PR Alliance, as a strategic communications consultant, and currently on the Brand PR team at WORTHI. Her work has landed media placements in major outlets such as Forbes, Black Enterprise, AfroTech, Essence Magazine, and more.

An advocate for multicultural storytelling and media representation, Kourtney holds a master’s in Mass Communication and a bachelor’s in public relations from LSU. She is also a passionate mentor and active member of PRAL, The StoryTeller’s Lab at LSU, and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Metro Baton Rouge Chapter. Kourtney brings her strategic mind to our community as the PR Manager of PRocon.

JaVaun Martin – Coordinator, Programming

JaVaun Martin, better known as Jae, is a marketing specialist and event producer based in Chicago, IL. With four years of experience in live events and two years specializing in marketing — she crafts strategies that turn audiences into engaged participants. She has a love for cultivating community and connecting brands with their audience. Her passion for events and marketing has led her to work with a range of organizations from local entities to national corporations, now including PRocon as a programming coordinator.

Faith McIver – Coordinator, Sponsorship

Faith McIver brings over a decade of vibrant experience in communications, marketing, and DEI. As an agency vet, she is known for building strong cross-industry and market relationships and delivers creative, insight-driven strategies.

As the Senior DEI Manager at Edelman, Faith leads global ERG operations, inclusive internal communications, executive positioning, and external partnership engagement. She has produced programs that enhance recruitment, retention, and engagement—including Edelman’s first virtual Educators Summits, the Annual Global Week of Belonging, and the DEI-focused podcast Authentic 365. She also advises clients on DEI and inclusive marketing strategies.

Jazmin Slaughter – Coordinator, Fundraising

Jazmin Slaughter is a community engagement specialist with nearly a decade of experience in fostering meaningful connections and crafting impactful narratives. She is the CEO of A Hint of Jazz Management and serves as Secretary for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Central PA, as well as a board member for Thrive Housing. In her role, Jazmin engages PRocon’s network to foster a culture of giving and support that allows PRocon to continue to grow, thrive, and give back to its community.

Their collective expertise and passion will undoubtedly propel PRocon to new heights, fostering innovation and collaboration within the industry.
